One of those “I wish I’d written that” moments!

I’m currently reading Audrey Niffenegger (author of “The Time Traveler’s Wife”)’s latest offering, “Her Fearful Symmetry” – and adoring it – to the point that this morning it reached out and wrapped me in its arms, and I squeezed it lovingly back knowing I never want to let it go.
The line that tipped me over the edge?

*“Is it sad to fancy David Tennant when you’re dead?”

And whether it was intentional or not, this simple reference to our very own Time Lord had me applauding this amazing writer of incredible talent with this lovely nod to her first born.

Everyone should read this – it’s perfection and I already know I'm going to miss it when I've finished.

*No, not sad – more instinctive - whatever the condition.

I loved her other book, THE TIME TRAVELLER'S WIFE esp the last line. The book I'm currently reading, THE SHADOW OF THE WIND by Carlos Ruiz Zafon is absolutely spellbinding and I'll hate to see it end. It is definitely a book that I'd wish I'd written.

I'll have to check that one out, Michele - it's not too heavy for my brain, is it?
